See what's joining Dollar General, Jersey Mike's at new Howell shopping center
HOWELL - Dollar General and Jersey Mike's are among the businesses that have started to fill up a new retail center now under construction at the corner of Route 33 and Colts Neck Road.
CentraState Medical Center will open medical offices and Style En Suite, which leases salon suites to cosmetologists, will join Dollar General and Jersey Mike's, according to Urszula Zoltek, principal at Zoltek Commercial Real Estate Services in Fair Lawn, who represented the landlord in the lease transactions.
Workers are expected to complete construction of the retail center by the end of the second quarter, Zoltek told What's Going There.

It comes amidst a spurt of development in the area. There's Four Seasons at Colts Farm, a new development by K. Hovnanian Homes, next door and Regency at Allaire, a new development by Toll Brothers, nearby.
"It's a highly visible center," Zoltek said. "There is a lot of development going on in the area."
The center has two vacant spaces remaining, with hopes for an additional restaurant, Zoltek said. "It is going to be a really nice building."

Tenants are making plans.
Dollar General said it hopes to open its store this summer, a timeline that can be affected by the construction's progress.

"In selecting store sites, we take a number of factors into consideration, carefully evaluating each potential new store location to ensure we can continue to meet our customers’ price, value and selection needs," the company said in a statement. "We further strive to provide convenience for customers who may not have affordable nearby retail options."
Dollar General sells household essentials, including food, cleaning supplies, paper products, over-the-counter medicines and baby items, among other categories. The company said the store will have six to 10 employees.
A spokesperson for CentraState Healthcare System said the Health Pavilion at Farmingdale will bring "health care closer to home" for residents in Howell and the surrounding area.

It will feature Family Practice of CentraState, rehabilitation and physical therapy services, and laboratory services.
It is expected to open in January 2024, spokesperson Lori Palmer said. "Designed with today’s busy lifestyles in mind, this new facility will provide quality care and easily accessible services in one location."
