Christmas is just around the corner, and in between all the cookie eating, eggnog drinking, holiday card writing, and Hallmark movie viewing, you're probably a little bit frazzled. After all, even those of us who make our list and check it twice find ourselves scrambling for several last-minute Christmas gifts each year. Whether it's a festive Christmas decoration that'll help you decorate the Christmas tree in style, a fun stocking stuffer that you know will put a smile on your youngest child's face, or hostess gift for the neighbor's annual holiday party, you could probably use a quick trip to your local dollar store.
Here, we've compiled all the dollar stores open on Christmas in the hopes that we'll be able to make your life just a little bit easier and a whole lot less stressful. We're sharing the Christmas hours for Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Family Dollar, along with any special Christmas operating information you should know. (By the way, if you're wondering about other stores open on Christmas, we've also got information on Starbucks' holiday hours, Walmart's holiday hours, grocery stores open on Christmas, and all the restaurants open on Christmas too.)
Here's to a Christmas spent focusing on the important things—family, friends, and love—and a trip to town that's easier than polishing off a batch of your favorite Christmas candy.
Dollar Tree Christmas Hours
Rejoice! Dollar Tree will be open on Christmas—but there's a catch. Only certain locations will usher in customers on Christmas Day, and they "typically operate [on] abbreviated hours," a spokesperson tells CountryLiving.com. Make sure to check your store before you head out to shop.
Family Dollar Christmas Hours
More good news: Family Dollar will also be open for your convenience. However, Family Dollar will be running under the same conditions as Dollar Tree because the two are part of the same company. Again, don't forget to check the hours of your local store!
Dollar General Holiday Hours
If you want to stop by Dollar General for final holiday purchases, you'll have to do so before Christmas Day. A spokesperson tells CountryLiving.com that though stores will be open until 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve, all locations will be closed on Christmas Day. To check out your shop's hours year round, you can look at the store locator.
It seems as if Dollar General is in line with a few other establishments that decided to close on December 25, including grocery stores such as Sam's Club, ALDI, and Publix. But don't worry—along with Dollar Tree and Family Dollar—there are still a handful of stores and restaurants open on Christmas, including CVS, and Walgreens/Duane Reade. Happy shopping!
