Dolly Parton avoids rides at her own theme park Dollywood, because they'll mess up her wigs
Dolly Parton has admitted that she won’t go on the rides at her theme park Dollywood, because she doesn’t want her wig “to get messed up” by the wind.
Speaking to The New York Times, the icon said: "I don't ride the rides. I never have. I have a tendency to get motion sickness.
“Also, I'm a little bit chicken. With all my hair I got so much to lose, like my wig or my shoes.
“I don't like to get messed up. I'm gonna have some handsome man mess it up, I don't want some ride doing it."

Speaking to the newspaper because she is adding a new six-acre addition to Dollywood, her theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, 73-year-old Dolly said: “They’ll play my music in a lot of the stores. It’s a little theme.
“Hopefully it’s not enough to make you gag.”
Dolly was dressed up for the interview, wearing a sequined lilac pantsuit with black piping and matching butterfly wings” because she had just finished performing.

Dolly also shared some of her best travel tips. “Even when I travel overseas, I take my pillows, I take a few snack foods and other things that you might not be able to get.”
The snacks she takes include “potted meat. Or weird things like Vienna sausage. That and a bottle of Tabasco: If I can’t eat whatever they’re cooking, I can always have that.”
She also provided skincare tips: “I clean my face in the mornings.
“You never know if you’re going to wreck the bus, you never know if you’re going to be somewhere in a hotel and there’s going to be a fire.
“So I leave my makeup on at night and clean my face in the morning.”
The sequel to her 1980 film 9 to 5 is currently in the works.
The production process has included notes from the studio, producers as well as herself and costars Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda.
Fonda, 81, Tomlin, 79, and Parton, 73, will all be returning to star in sequel.
