TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Shiver me timbers! Construction on Dolly Parton’s new pirate-themed restaurant in Florida is now underway.

Parton’s Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show is set to open at Pier Park in Panama City Beach in spring 2025.

Parton said the show will feature pirates, mermaids, exciting acrobatics, pyrotechnics and even a few songs she wrote.

“It’s a show everyone in the family is going to love. Everyone knows I dream big, so we are definitely going ‘overboard’ with the details as we get started!” Parton said.

When the new restaurant is completed, it will have a 60,000-square-foot indoor theater with more than 1000 seats.

Crimson and Sapphire pirates will battle on deck, in the water of a 15-foot-deep lagoon and the “sky” above the two full-sized pirate ships throughout the show.

When the new show opens, it will bring 300 new jobs to the area. A nationwide search for the cast members will begin in mid-2024.

The total cost of the project is estimated at $60 million.

The Florida location will be the restaurant and show’s third location. The other two locations are in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
