In August 2021, Forbes estimated -- after a seven-decade-long career -- that Dolly Parton's net worth was $350 million. Parton's ability to build a lucrative brand on many notions -- including what a press release describes as "a lifelong passion for fashion" and "endearing, convention-defining, distinctly Dolly style" -- is the focus of "Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones," Parton's latest book, out from Ten Speed Press on Oct. 17, 2023.

The 336-page book is the second in a planned trilogy that began with her 2020 bestseller "Songteller: My Life in Lyrics."

The book -- co-written with Holly George-Warren and curated by Rebecca Seaver -- is currently available for pre-order.

"It costs a lot of money to look this cheap," Parton has famously stated.

Comparatively, "Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones" has a retail price of $50.

Out Oct. 17, 2023, "Behind The Seams: My Life In Rhinestones" spotlights Dolly Parton's most iconic looks from the 1960s to now.

The book will also be available as an audiobook from Penguin Random House Audio, read by Parton and including archival audio and music.

"I am happy, proud, and excited to present my book 'Behind the Seams' to the public," stated the 77-year-old Country Music Hall of Famer. "It is my hope that you will enjoy a look at my life in costume and hair and get to know some of the great people who have helped shape my life and my look. Enjoy!"

The book will offer the largest reveal of Parton's private costume archive -- heels, makeup, stage clothes (October 1978 Playboy cover bunny suit and Studio 54 evening wear highlighted) and wigs included. Moreover, Parton discusses the clothes her mother would sew from feed sacks (including her "Coat of Many Colors"), among many other iconic ensembles.

Dolly Parton sent the social media world into an happy spiral on July 20, 2021 when the country superstar dressed up like a Playboy bunny (ears, bow-tie and all) and wished her hubby a very happy birthday.

Regarding higher goals associated with the forthcoming book, a press release calls it "an indispensable guide to forging your own path to beauty and confidence."
