Dolores Huerta plaza unveiled at Delta College in Stockton

Students at Delta College in Stockton celebrated the naming of a plaza after a civil rights icon Thursday. The Dolores Huerta Plaza was named after Dolores Huerta, an advocate for farmworkers rights. Huerta attended Delta College when it was still called Stockton College. Although she couldn't attend the event, Huerta’s sister was there to represent the family. The celebration of Dolores Huerta Plaza included a Tex-Mex band, free Mexican food and pastries. Huerta is commonly known for coining the phrase “si se puede,” which was used in many rallies by the United Farm Workers. Get the full story in the video above.
