Dolphins fail to slow Cam Newton, Patriots' running game in season-opening loss at New England

Tom Brady may be long gone from New England.

But that did not stop another Patriots quarterback and former MVP from terrorizing the Miami Dolphins around these parts.

Cam Newton scored two rushing touchdowns, former Plantation American Heritage star Sony Michel added another, and the revamped Dolphins defense had no answer for more than 200 yards rushing by the Patriots in a 21-11 loss at Gillette Stadium to begin the 2020 NFL season.

Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three interceptions, including two in the first half, playing far different from his game-winning touchdown performance against the Patriots to end last season.
