Dolphins’ Kyle Van Noy, Matt Breida to play vs. Broncos

The Miami Dolphins will be close to full strength for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Dolphins outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy (hip), running back Matt Breida (hamstring) and rookie offensive lineman Soloman Kindley (foot) are all active and will play as Miami hopes to extend its win streak to six games at Empower Field at Mile High.

Van Noy was somewhat limited in the second half of Miami’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers last Sunday after he first sustained his hip injury. But the Dolphins’ captain will play and avoids missing his second game due to injury this season.

Breida, an offseason acquisition for the Dolphins, will return after a two-game absence due to his hamstring injury to support Miami’s run game.

The Dolphins may still start rookie Salvon Ahmed, who had 85 yards and a touchdown last week, but Breida’s presence helps the team’s depth at one of its thinnest positions.

Kindley, who started the first eight games of his rookie season at right guard, is available to play. But it’s also possible the Dolphins continue to play veteran Jesse Davis at right guard so rookies Austin Jackson and Robert Hunt can play left and right tackle, respectively.

The Dolphins’ offensive line has mostly been Jackson, left guard Ereck Flowers, center Ted Karras, Davis and Hunt in the past three games.

Dolphins defensive tackle Christian Wilkins will miss his second career game as he is still on the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list.

The Dolphins will be without receiver Lynn Bowden Jr., fullback Chandler Cox, running back DeAndre Washington and offensive tackle Adam Pankey against the Broncos.

— Reggie McKenzie, Dolphins’ senior personnel executive who has assisted general manager Chris Grier, is among a list of candidates for the Atlanta Falcons’ vacant general manager job, according to a ESPN report on Sunday.

McKenzie, who has been in his role with Miami for the past two seasons, was the former general manager of the Raiders from 2012-18.
