Dolphins looking to trade down from No. 6?

The Miami Dolphins have been wheeling and dealing already heading into the 2021 NFL draft, but it sounds like they’re still willing to make a big move.

After trading down from No. 3 overall, and then back up to No. 6 in a matter of minutes late last month, the Dolphins are taking calls about moving down yet again, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

At their current spot, the Dolphins are in prime position to land one of this year’s top non-quarterback prospects, such as Florida tight end Kyle Pitts, LSU wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase or Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell.

But this reports tells me that teams who need a quarterback know they might be able to get one of this year’s top five passers at No. 6 overall, assuming at least three go at the top of the draft, and either the Falcons or the Bengals go elsewhere with their picks at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
