Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle's No. 17 jersey lands in Pro Football Hall of Fame
Dolphins rookie receiver Jaylen Waddle has made it to Canton.
OK, it’s only a temporary exhibit, but the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Friday that the jersey Waddle wore Jan. 9 against the New England Patriots is on display.
Waddle caught five passes for 27 yards and a touchdown that day, giving him 104 receptions for the season and breaking the NFL record set by Anquan Boldin with 101 in 2003.
Waddle’s No. 17 jersey is in the Hall’s Pro Football Today Gallery. It is displayed alongside the jersey of the 49ers' Deebo Samuel, who set a record for receivers with eight rushing touchdowns this season.
Samuel, an All-Pro, had 1,770 yards from scrimmage. He also set an NFL record for rushing yards by a receiver with 72 in San Francisco’s 23-17 wild-card victory over Dallas last weekend.
