Domino master sets up exhibit with 10,000 dominos at Carowinds before knocking it down

A local Domino master put on quite the show at Carowinds after spending 38 hours stacking nearly 10,000 dominos just to knock them down in less than a minute as part of a new exhibit.

Gabe Dean told our partners at CN2 that he set up the exhibit inside Harmony Hall because of his life-long love for the theme park.

“Carowinds is a place that really does mean a lot to me. I’ve been a season pass holder here since I was 9 years old, I’m 21 now. I’ve seen the park change over all this time. I’ve got a lot of love for this park, and so I really wanted to let my two passions collide here and make a great tribute to the park,” Dean said.

Dean said the inspiration for the piece he created comes from his love of roller coasters. He replicated several of the rides with his dominoes, including the Wind Seeker, Hurler, Sling Shot, and Carolina Cyclone.

Dean has already been featured on a reality TV show called “Domino Masters,” where he competed against other artists to create domino masterpieces.
