Domino's donates $5K to Project Second Chance

Domino's recently donated $5,000 to Project Second Chance Monroe.

“Domino’s Pizza asks employees to nominate a nonprofit organization, two of which are chosen to receive funding,” Marji McIntyre, executive director of Project Second Chance Monroe, said.

Founded in 2008, Project Second Chance Monroe pairs abandoned dogs with at-risk youth at the Monroe County Youth Center.

Originally housed at the Monroe County Youth Center, Project Second Chance purchased the former Jefferson Schools' Administration building in 2021 and is completing renovations. The donation will benefit the program.

Several representatives from Domino’s recently visited the organization’s facility, called Woof Lodge, to present a check.

The group toured the building.

“This is an impressive facility and a wonderful program that offers a real opportunity for at-risk youth, plus finding homes for abandoned dogs, all getting their second chance. We are pleased to support such a great program,” John Prevost from Domino’s said.

”PSCM is very grateful to Domino’s and their participation in community outreach such as this!  It’s a great offering that includes input from their employees.  This support will help to get the doors open," McIntyre said.
