Domino's launches autonomous delivery in Houston

Gone are the days of having your pizza delivered by someone. Domino's is launching its on-road robot in Houston. Here's how it works.

- Houstonians may notice something different about their pizza delivery this week. Domino's is kicking off its self-driving pizza delivery service in the city. The pizza chain say it says some of its customers will be able to choose to have their pizza delivered by Nuro's R2 robot.

The Nuro R2 is a completely autonomous, on-road delivery vehicle. That means no delivery driver to greet you at the door with your order. Instead, the robotic vehicle you see there will drive right to your address. And once it gets there, customers will receive a special PIN to retrieve their pizza.

- I have a feeling the kids are going to have a field day with that one.

- Oh, they would love that, right?
