The system will be owned, operated, and maintained by Comcast.
The goal is to eliminate the divide that exists between those who have and those who lack internet service. The county is actively working to accomplish this with Comcast and with the help of grant money.
Phase 1, which is now complete, extended to provide internet service to the northwest portion of Clay Hill and the area of Keystone Heights of County Road 214 and east of State Road 21, moving out toward McRae.
Clay County will be holding a sign-up day for Clay Hill and Keystone Heights residents on Sat., May 6 at Clay Hill Elementary. The sign-up will begin at 10 a.m.
