Don’t have Valentine’s plans? Here’s what you can do in Tri-Cities through the weekend

When Valentine’s Day falls on a weekday, celebrations often last over a week, with businesses offering events and specials the weekend before and after. This year, Valentine’s Day is on a Wednesday, meaning Tri-Cities has options for days after Feb. 14.

The celebrations aren’t just for couples, either. There are events for singles, friend groups and families around this Valentine’s Day in Tri-Cities. No matter your relationship status, or your schedule, there are options for you.

Here’s what you can do to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Tri-Cities between Feb. 14 and 18.

Valentine’s Day events in Tri-Cities

For couples

Valentine’s Day at The Bradley - Feb. 14

Reservations available at $90 per person for a four-course meal at The Bradley, including a complimentary glass of champagne. Call 509-940-5585 to make your reservation, and include information on any dietary restrictions in your party.

Menu:

  • First course- Seared scallops with cauliflower puree, romesco sauce and salsa verde

  • Second course- Ricotta gnocchi with short rib ragu, parmigiano reggiano and parsley

  • Third course- Filet mignon au poivres with mashed potatoes and broccolini

  • Fourth course- Chocolate pot de creme with macerated strawberries and lemon chantilly shaved chocolate

Valentine’s Day Dinner - Feb. 14

The executive chef at Bin 20 Wine Bar in the Pasco Red Lion Hotel created a three-course prix-fixe meal for a romantic Valentine’s Day. Reservations are required, offered at $130 per couple. Additionally, if dinner makes you crave a night out of the house, take advantage of the one-day Sweetheart Package, including a premium hotel room with a bottle of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries delivered to the room for $135.

  • Starter- Signature avocado fries, citrus salad or Italian flatbread

  • Main- Cabernet braised short ribs, florentine manicotti or Whispering Mediterranean

  • Dessert- Tuscan torta or neapolitan bites

Valentine’s Day Dinner - Feb. 14

Enjoy an “unforgettable” five-course meal at Barnard Griffin Winery, accompanied by live music with Ronnie from the Firesides. Reservations available between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. for $80 per person.

  • Starter- Baguette with parmesan butter spread

  • Appetizer- Pommes anna with smoked salmon, crème fraîche and caviar

  • Salad- Caesar salad with cherry tomatoes, parmesan and house croutons

  • Entree- Kalbi glazed beef shortrib with miso polenta and seasonal vegetable OR prawn and chorizo risotto with english peas, saffron and seasonal vegetable

  • Dessert- Flourless chocolate cake with raspberry coulis OR vanilla bean cheesecake with fresh whipped cream

Valentine’s Dinner - Feb. 14

Enjoy a four-course dinner at Monterosso’s for Valentine’s Day, in place of the regular menu. The custom specials are available between 4 and 9 p.m. at $85 per person.

Menu:

  • Appetizer- Mini Italian meatball paninis, dynamite mussels or red pepper goat cheese cucumber cups

  • Soup or salad- Bacon lentil soup with confit bacon or strawberry hazelnut salad

  • Entree- Pepperjack grilled filet mignon with smoky red wine demi, candied jalapenos, sauteed vegetables and three cheese risotto, or Au Poivre sausage stuffed pork tenderloin with red wine apple cinnamon sauce, sauteed vegetables and three cheese risotto, or vanilla bean asparagus fettuccine

  • Dessert- Lemon strawberry tiramisu, cheesecake with raspberry sauce or chocolate mousse with chocolate sauce

Valentine’s Special - Feb. 16

The Clover Island Inn is also offering specials for the celebration of love, featuring a party with Groove City, an R&B and jazz group from Las Vegas. Purchase tickets to the party for $90 per couple, or package deals, party access and dinner for $190 per couple, or party access, dinner and a room for $299 per couple.

Valentine’s Cruise - Feb. 14-17

Water2Wine Cruises is offering multiple Valentine’s cruises along the Columbia, with only one sold out so far. Board the West Star and enjoy views from the river paired with food and drinks. Lunch cruises are 90 minutes, and dinner cruises are two and a half hours. A full service bar is available for additional drink purchases. Tickets are still available for lunch cruises on Feb. 14 and 17 for $75 per person, and dinner cruises on Feb. 16 and 17 for $97 per person.

  • First course- Caesar salad and freshly baked bread

  • Second course- Chicken florentine or mushroom risotto

Heart-themed escape room - Feb. 13-23

The East Benton County History Museum’s medium-difficulty escape room now features a heart theme. Test your knowledge and problem solving skills by trying to find your way out. Valentine’s Market - Feb. 14

The annual Valentine’s Market at Layered Cake Artistry includes a dessert counter with themed treats, a balloon backdrop for photos and plenty of vendors selling local goods. You can pre-order Layered Cake Artistry treats to pick up during the market.

Valentine’s at the Emerald - Feb. 14

The Emerald of Siam is hosting a Valentine’s Day special complete with a live harp performance from Chelsea Spence. A $50 ticket includes show access, an appetizer, two entrees, a dessert and a rose for your Valentine. Reservations are available at 509-946-9328.

Souldies Valentine’s - Feb. 14

Find a soul and R&B lineup at Jokers Night Club on Valentine’s Day, with doors at 7 p.m. Openers Mia Lenay and DJ JD will set the stage for Cota the Barber, who has opened for Baby Bash. Tickets range from $25 to $40.

Let’s Get Weird Wine and Chocolate Pairings - Feb. 14-18

Longship Cellars has paired six of its wines with unique chocolates — infused with mango, churro, potato chip and other flavors. Stop by during pairing hours to try them all, or take the fun home with an at-home kit. These must be pre-ordered online.
