A total of 40 crew members are speaking out in defense of the two women.

Unless you live under a rock, you've likely heard about the drama surrounding the new movie Don't Worry Darling.

Directed by Olivia Wilde, the movie stars Florence Pugh and Harry Styles as a couple living in what first appears to be a '50s-style utopia until Pugh's character starts investigating what's really going on.

While there's plenty of mystery and drama on-screen, what's happening behind-the-scenes is what really grabbed people's attention.

Vulture recently published an article that stated an anonymous source claimed Wilde and Pugh got into a major fight on set while filming after Wilde had "frequent, unexplained absences," leading to what they described as a "screaming match."

But now, crew members are speaking out in defense of the two women and everyone else who worked on the movie.

"As a crew, we've avoided addressing the absurd gossip surrounding the movie we're so proud of, but feel the need to correct the anonymous 'sources' quoted in a recent article. Any allegations about unprofessional behavior on the set of Don't Worry Darling are completely false," according to a statement shared with PEOPLE.

The statement directly addressed the rumor published in Vulture, "There was never a screaming match between our director and anyone, let alone a member of our cast."

A producer on the film, Miri Yoon, also told PEOPLE, "Rumors of screaming matches between our director and the leading lady on set are completely unfounded."

The crew highlighted Wilde's work and called her "an incredible leader and director who was present with and involved in every aspect of production," and that she "ran this set with class and respect for everyone involved."

Lastly, the official statement concluded: "We are happy to put our names on this, as real people who worked on the film, and who have witnessed and benefitted from the collaborative and safe space Olivia creates as a director and leader. We're also thrilled that the movie is in theaters this weekend. We can't wait for you to see it on the big screen."

While rumors are likely to continue, it's clear that the crew and production team believe in both the film and every person who worked on it.
