Donald Trump Announces 2024 Presidential Run

Former president Donald Trump officially announced his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election on Tuesday, November 15, at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

Video by Brendan Gutenschwager shows the announcement, which was met with cheers from the crowd at Mar-a-Lago.

“In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Trump said.

Trump rallied support, saying that “this will not be my campaign, this will be our campaign.”

During his speech, Trump echoed his support for Hershel Walker, the Republican candidate in the Georgia Senate race. The runoff election was set for December 6 after neither Walker nor the incumbent Raphael Warnock gained 50 percent of the vote. Credit: Brendan Gutenschwager via Storyful
