Donald Trump Jr Celebrates After Clashing With Whoopi & Joy On 'The View'

Donald Trump Jr had to know his appearance on "The View" to promote his new book would be met with hostility, but even though he didn't get the plug he was looking for, the press afterwards makes it clear he came out a winner. The son of President Donald Trump is still celebrating his appearance on the daytime talk show days after he squared off with hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Meghan McCain.

After the appearance, Trump Jr took to Instagram to vent about what went down.

"Good times on the view today🤣 Indont [sic] think they like me. When you’re asked to come on a show to promote your book Triggered (link in bio), it’s not unreasonable to expect to actually be asked one single question about your book. I understood they would ask other things as well, that’s fair, but to not even ask one? Typical bs. If you’re going to preach civility don’t do it with a forked tongue! Just sayin."

During his appearance with girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, both went on the offensive against the hosts, accusing Joy of using "blackface" from a Halloween party years back, and calling out Whoopi for her past remarks of trying to downplay the allegations of rape against director Roman Polanski.

“We've all done things that we regret. Joy, you have worn blackface ... Whoopi, you said that Roman Polanski… it wasn’t 'rape-rape,' when he raped a child."

Trump vs. McCain

During his segment, Donald Trump Jr was also called out by Meghan McCain over President Donald Trump's "character." The Trumps and the McCains had already been clashing for years surrounding the treatment of Meghan's father, the late senator John McCain.

"You and your father have hurt a lot of people and put a lot of people through a lot of pain, including the Khan family who was a Gold Star family,” Meghan McCain says of the family of Capt. Humayun Khan, a Muslim American, U.S. Army soldier who was killed in Iraq in 2004. “Does all this make you feel good?” • “I don’t think any of that makes me feel good," Donald Trump Jr. responds. "But I do think that we got into this because we wanted to do what’s right for America."

Triggered

The chaos that ensued on "The View," just happened to be perfect promotion for Donald Trump Jr's book, which is titled, "Triggered." Seeing as he got a big reaction from the co-hosts on the view, DTJ's fans thought it was the perfect marketing ploy he could've hoped for.

"He did a fine job of triggering that entire ridiculous panel," one fan wrote on Instagram.

Another wrote, "Savage. They don't know what to do with conservatives who fight back. Keep it up!"

A third added, "All these Libs getting triggered is the best promotion for the Don’s book."

Donald Trump Jr has since kept the promotion train rolling through the weekend and teased a podcast he recorded with AEW wrestling star Chris Jericho.
