LEXINGTON, Va. (WFXR) – As we get deeper into the weeds of the 2024 election, we also edge closer to Mock Convention, the 115-year-old project led by students at Washington and Lee University to guess the nomination. This year, they’re predicting the Republican likely to face off with President Joe Biden.
Monday, Mock Con announced its list of speakers arriving to campus on Convention Weekend, Feb. 8-11.

“This slate of speakers is the most impressive in Mock Convention’s history,” the press secretary for the project said in a release.
Mock Con predicts who the party out of power will nominate for presidency every four years. Beginning in 1908, the Lexington-based project boasts the reputation of being the most accurate political mock convention in the nation. They hold a 74% accuracy rate in predicting nominees.
