Donald Trump Jr. slammed the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) for cutting his father's cameo in "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York," which he referred to as one of "the most famous cameos of the era."
President Donald Trump's scene in the holiday classic was reportedly cut from broadcasts of the film which aired on CBC this month. Trump Jr., called the network "absolutely pathetic" for the edit on his Instagram.
"Imagine being so pathetic in your quest to attain some BS level of wokeness that you need to cut out a scene that is probably one of the most famous cameos of the era?" he wrote. "Imagine being so 'triggered' that you can’t even leave a Christmas movie alone without editing."
The president's son went on to rail against the "liberal media," which he called the "enemy of the people."
"The media should go register as a lobbyist for the Leftists. Their bias is so flagrant they don’t even pretend to hide it anymore," he said. "They prove every day that they really are the enemy of the people."
President Trump also addressed the edit on Twitter Thursday, appearing to blame Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for his missing scene.
"I guess Justin T doesn’t much like my making him pay up on NATO or Trade!" the president said on Twitter.

"The movie will never be the same! (just kidding)," Trump joked in a subsequent tweet.

The CBC has responded to the backlash, saying the cut has nothing to do with politic and that the film was edited to allow for commercials.
"As is often the case with features adapted for television, 'Home Alone 2' was edited to allow for commercial time within the format," CBC told ComicBook.com.
