For a brief time this week President Joe Biden was no longer commander in chief of the United States of America but a stiff-necked school master wielding a pointer stick at wayward pupils who’d decided to speak up in class before doing their homework.

It was a beautiful thing, watching Biden put two-faced critics of the government’s student debt relief program in their place and giving obstinate pupils like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene an “F” in truthfulness.

After Greene and other Republican members of Congress publicly criticized the program that could cancel up to $20,000 worth of federal student loans for millions of people, Biden reminded them how they had been bailed out by the government’s massive Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) that forgave loans of those impacted by the pandemic.

Wait, wasn't YOUR debt forgiven?

In a long Twitter thread Biden pointed out how much in PPP loans that Greene ($183,504) and others had forgiven.

The same is true of thousands of other individuals and businesses. This would include two-faced members of some media companies, like the conservative Daily Caller, where its Steven Crowder tweeted, “Student loan forgiveness sounds really nice to illegal immigrants, people with no life experience, people who don’t have families yet, and people who use preferred pronouns.”

Another view: Biden's debt plan proves only suckers play by the rules

He failed to point out that the Daily Caller News Foundation had a $300,000 loan forgiven.

In Arizona alone, more than 11,326 small businesses, large companies, casinos and nonprofits in Arizona received an estimated $7.08 billion from the federal government in PPP money.

Among the big winners were 132 charter schools, some of which, by way of reporting from former Arizona Republic great Craig Harris, didn’t seem to need the money.

Over the years the government has bailed out airlines, the automobile industry, insurance companies and banks, banks and more banks.

Then, there is Donald Trump.

And, don't forget about Dear Leader

Former President Donald Trump has avoided paying debts by declaring bankruptcy multiple times.
Former President Donald Trump has avoided paying debts by declaring bankruptcy multiple times.

The former president condemned the student debt relief program in a statement, saying, “Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats have just orchestrated another election enhancing money grab, this time to the tune of $300,000,000,000 – and just like I predicted, it’s coming right out of the pocket of the working-class Americans who are struggling the most!”

I believe we know from his performance in the White House that Trump was not a fan of homework.

So, naturally, there he is, piping up in class about government handouts, as if no one would be there to remind him and the members of the MAGA cult that Trump, their Dear Leader, has avoided paying his debt by declaring bankruptcy six – count ‘em – SIX times.

Is there a dunce hat handy?
