United States President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump participated in the White House tradition of pardoning a turkey ahead of Thanksgiving on Tuesday, November 24.

This footage, livestreamed by the White House, shows Donald Trump raising his hand and granting Corn the turkey a “full pardon.”

“Look at that beautiful, beautiful bird,” Donald Trump said as the turkey was presented. “Oh, so lucky. That is a lucky bird.”

Every year, the chairman of the National Turkey Federation selects the birds that will represent the turkey industry and presents one to the president during a Rose Garden ceremony wherein the bird is granted a reprieve from a Thanksgiving table. Credit: The White House via Storyful
