BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A donation to Kern Medical Foundation is your one-way ticket to a race at Dodger Stadium.

A Spartan Race is taking place on Feb. 24 at Dodger Stadium in support of the Kern Medical Foundation. A donation gets you an access code for entry into the race.

Tony Mestaz, a Kern Medical employee, talked about his experience with Spartan Races in Greece and how Spartan is supporting a good cause.

“I’ve raced 103 races and competed for Team USA in the Greece World Championships and I love what Spartan teaches; integrity and respect,” said Mestaz. “They’re huge on charities and taking care of others, $35 will get you a race code when these races are normally $140 or more.”

Kern Medical Foundation is a separate non-profit organization which partners with the community to secure funds in support of Kern Medical’s essential programs, according to Mestaz. All donations will go towards patient services, facilities and equipment officials say.
