Donations doubled at red kettles in Sullivan through Wednesday

Nov. 20—Through Wednesday, all donations up to $1,000 to Salvation Army Red Kettles in Sullivan County will be matched by Bob Baesler, owner of Baesler's Market.

"Having the support of Bob Baesler and Baseler's Market is vital to The Salvation Army in Sullivan County," said Michelle Smith, Advisory Council chair for The Salvation Army. "Our emergency financial assistance program depends on the money we raise each year during the Red Kettle Campaign.

"Baesler's Market has partnered with us for many years, and Mr. Baesler's match offer will help us make a difference for even more families in 2024."

Red Kettles can be found at a number of locations around Sullivan County, including the Baesler's Market at 277 S. Section St.

Volunteer bell ringers are still needed.

Visit www.RegisterToRing.com or call Lela Street at 812-268-5958 to sign up.

A volunteer bell ringer can raise enough funds in two hours to feed a local family for an entire week. Donations made to Salvation Army Red Kettles in November and December will help families throughout all of 2024.
