Donations of new socks, underwear being collected for Cedar Park fire victims. How to help.

Four Williamson County justices of the peace are collecting donations of new socks and undergarments for adults and children who lost their homes in an apartment fire in Cedar Park last week.

A 37-acre fire destroyed one apartment building and damaged two others at the Bexley at Silverado apartment complex at 13820 W. Parmer Lane. Dozens of people lost their homes and two first responders received minor injuries. The fire started on Tuesday night in the greenbelt behind the complex, but its cause has not yet been determined.
