According to the investigation, the man, who fought against Ukraine on the southern front as part of the invading Russian groups from the Russian-occupied part of Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast, was sentenced to prison.

The convict is a resident of Donetsk Oblast, who in 2015 joined the illegal "people's militia of the DPR". While acting as a grenade launcher operator,he took an active part in combat operations against Anti-Terrorist Operation units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the eastern part of the country.

Since the beginning of full-scale Russian aggression, he fought against Ukraine as part of the 129th Rifle Division of the 70th Army of the Russian Armed Forces. The man was on duty at the checkpoints of the invaders in the temporarily occupied villages of Zaozerne and Novohryhorivka of Kherson Oblast.

At the time, he was assigned to guard the captured bridges in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, which the enemy used to transport weapons and ammunition to the front line.

The court sentenced him to 15 years in prison, with confiscation of property.
