Donetsk region: at least 7 dead and 20 injured civilians in one day

At least 7 civilians were killed and at least 20 injured as a result of Russian shelling in Donetsk Oblast on Sunday [3 July - ed.].

Details: Kyrylenko said that missile strikes and shelling took place all over the Oblast on Sunday. Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, Donetsk Oblast's largest cities, were hit the hardest.

Sloviansk was subjected to extensive shelling during the day - 6 people were killed, including 1 child, and 19 were injured. Some 40 residential buildings were damaged. The full extent of the damage is still being established.

Kramatorsk was shelled twice by Smerch multiple rocket launch systems: a hotel and accommodation complex was damaged during the day, while in the evening a road was destroyed, a school and the grounds of a kindergarten and a health clinic were hit. Preliminary information indicates that one person was injured.

The Russians also shelled a residential area in Avdiivka and the Avdiivka Coke Plant. There is one confirmed casualty.

The hromada [amalgamated territorial community – ed.] of Iliinivka was heavily bombarded: Katerynivka, Tarasivka, Novopoltavka and Kleban Byk were hit.
