People flying to Germany on Wednesday night grabbed their phones when a celebrity was spotted on the plane.

It was Donna Kelce, the mother of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. She was headed to Frankfurt, Germany, for Sunday’s Chiefs-Dolphins game, and multiple passengers grabbed their phones for a photo.

Donna Kelce was wearing a jean jacket with her son’s No. 87 and red and gold stars on one sleeve.

A fan named Jenna shared a photo on X (née Twitter):

Others were thrilled to see that Donna Kelce was flying to Europe to see her son play.

Support in Germany

Donna Kelce’s trip to Frankfurt caught the eye of people in Germany, too.

On X, Benjamin Möller shared this:

Translation: “That’s support! Donna Kelce is also flying over to Frankfurt to see her son Travis Kelce play.”

René Bugner posted this on X:

Translation: “Donna Kelce must have landed in Frankfurt by now. Now all that’s missing is Taylor Swift for the Chiefs to win on Sunday...”

Ah yes, Taylor Swift’s name was bound to come up, right? Swift, the global music superstar, is dating Travis Kelce, and there is intense interest in her plans.

The German website RTL wrote a story with the headline: “Donna Kelce dem Weg nach Frankfurt! Wo ist Taylor Swift?” That translates to “Donna Kelce on the way to Frankfurt! Where is Taylor Swift?”

Here is part of the story: “Attention, attention, Mama Kelce is on her way to Germany! Travis Kelce, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, has to play against the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt. His mom, Donna Kelce, will be cheering him on from the stands. Does that mean Taylor Swift is coming too?”

On the “Touchdown Frankfurt” podcast, TV commentator Jan Stecker talked about the viral photo of Swift kissing Kelce on the cheek and said: “I definitely hope she comes.”

We will find out Sunday morning if Swift is at Deutsche Bank Park, along with Donna Kelce, to watch the Chiefs play.
