Donnie Stoner's brother, Ronnie, removed as assistant football coach at Manual High

Ronnie Stoner ― the twin brother of Donnie Stoner, who was recently arrested and removed as duPont Manual High School's head football coach ― is no longer an assistant coach with the Manual football team, according to Jefferson County Public Schools.

Louisville Metro Police, which arrested Donnie Stoner on Monday after he turned himself in, confirmed to The Courier Journal on Wednesday that it also has "an open and active investigation" into Ronnie Stoner.

Ronnie Stoner has not been charged with a crime.

Donnie Stoner was arraigned on charges of first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree rape and sodomy, related to allegations of sex with a female juvenile student.

As of last week, Ronnie Stoner was listed as a volunteer assistant football coach for Manual on its roster with the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. On Monday, his name was no longer listed.

"Ronnie Stoner is not working with the Manual football team in any capacity," JCPS spokesperson Mark Hebert told The Courier Journal in an email Wednesday afternoon.

JCPS also reassigned Ronnie Stoner on July 27 from his job as a safety administrator at Manual to the Blue Lick Bus Compound. His reassignment letter said the move was "pending final personnel decisions."

"You are to have no contact or communication with students, faculty, staff, parents of students, or be on the campus of duPont Manual High School," the letter said.

Prior to working at Manual, Ronnie Stoner was the head JV football coach and varsity assistant football coach at Fern Creek High School.

Messages with Ronnie Stoner's attorney were not immediately returned on Wednesday afternoon.
