Don't feel like cooking this Thanksgiving? These Rockford businesses got you covered
While a homecooked Thanksgiving dinner is a tradition for many area families, for others, preparing a turkey dinner with all the fixings may not be on their agenda this year.
That’s why several area establishments are serving Thanksgiving dinner in their dining rooms and offering pre-cooked feasts available for carryout.
Here’s a list of places who are saying, “leave the cooking to us” this Thanksgiving.
Hoffman House
Rockford’s Hoffman House has five Thanksgiving pickup options: Sliced oven-roasted turkey complete meal, sliced oven-roasted turkey and ham complete meal, whole roasted turkey complete meal and whole roasted turkey only. Complete meals include dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans or corn, rolls, butter cups and cranberry sauce. Pies are also available.

Stockholm Inn
Celebrate Thanksgiving Swedish style with Stockholm Inn's “Thanksgiving Smorgasbord.” The buffet will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 23. Carryout dinners are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pinnon Meats
Pinnon is offering two Thanksgiving carryout options this year. The first feeds five people. The second feeds 10 people. Both packages include turkey and ham, bread, mashed potatoes and turkey gravy, green bean casserole and homemade stuffing. While supplies last. Orders must be in by Nov. 15.

GreenFire Restaurant Bar & Bakery
GreenFire is offering Thanksgiving meals from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 23, and its “Thanksgiving to Go” carryout menu. Carryout dinners include a free-range turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, stuffing, garlic mash, pumpkin or apple pie. Whole turkeys—cooked or raw—are also available.

Stone Eagle Tavern
Stone Eagle will be serving a Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meals include sliced roasted turkey breast with fresh herbs and carved maple-glazed ham. Sides include fresh greens, mashed potatoes, biscuits, brown sugar-spiced yams, stuffing and assorted pies and sweets. To-go platters available.

Franchesco’s Ristorante
Franchesco’s is offering dine-in and carryout Thanksgiving options this year. The dining room will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 23. Plated Thanksgiving dinners include turkey or ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, bread and pumpkin pie. The “Thanksgiving to Go” package includes a 14-16-pound turkey, 5 pounds of mashed potatoes, 1 quart of cranberry sauce, 5 pounds of stuffing, 5 pounds of green beans and two pumpkin pies. Feeds up to 16 people. Prime rib is available for an additional charge.

Mary’s “Thanksgiving On The Go” menu includes a herb-rubbed turkey or glazed ham. Sides include rolls, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, turkey gravy, seasonal veggies and a host of a-la-care deserts. Serves four to 10 people.
Orders must be made in advance and picked up by Wednesday, Nov. 22.

The 640 Meats "Do-It-Yourself" Thanksgiving packages includes two options. The first option feeds 16 to 18 people. The second feeds eight to 12. Packages include turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, rolls and pumpkin pie. Ham, pork roast and prime rib are also available.
Orders must be placed in advance and picked up by Sunday, Nov. 19.

Cimono's wil hosts its annual Thanksgiving Brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 23. The buffet includes roasted turkey, baked ham, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, scallop potatoes, mac and cheese, green bean casserole, stuffing, cranberry relish, rolls, pasta and a full salad bar. Desserts include brownies, cookies, cake and pie.
