Don't feel like cooking a big holiday meal but want to do something traditional for Thanksgiving? Looking for something out of the ordinary?

Hattiesburg has plenty of options for whatever you might be craving, so we chose five to help you narrow it down.

Petra Cafe

Petra Cafe, 6060 U.S. 49, will open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.

The restaurant, which opened its Hattiesburg location on Thanksgiving Day more than 10 years ago, has a large selection on its menu from gyros and kebabs to seafood platters and a selection of appetizers like hummus, dolmades and baba ghanouj.

If you have someone in your party who doesn't like Mediterranean spices, the restaurant also serves grilled salmon, fried catfish, chicken tenders, mac and cheese bites, spinach and artichoke dip and other American-style foods.

Indian Delight

Indian Delight, 163 Turtle Creek Drive, Suite 10, is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.

The restaurant will feature a buffet of Indian dishes, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers, and exotic-sounding entrees that include a mixed vegetable pulao, rajma masala and makai palak. You can also try dishes like goat curry, butter chicken and Afghani chicken. Round out the meal with a choice of three desserts.

The Front Porch BBQ and Seafood

Front Porch, 205 Thornhill Drive, will be open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

The locally-owned restaurant will have a special Thanksgiving menu for its buffet, turkey, ham, dressing and all the other side dishes you would expect to find on your holiday plate.

Golden Corral, 6082 U.S. 98, will be open Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The restaurant is working on a special menu for its holiday fare, which will feature many of its regular offerings in addition to turkey, ham and holiday roast beef.

The restaurant will have a preset Thanksgiving menu, with turkey, dressing and other side dishes for a traditional holiday meal.
