From holiday tissue paper to ribbons and gift cards, here are just a few of the businesses in our area that will wrap your purchases this holiday. Some even offer free gift wrapping all year round.

Macy’s Personal Stylists offer free gift wrapping in store for customers shopping with them as part of the complimentary service. When shopping online, customers can include a gift message and hide prices on the packing slip on any purchase for free. There is an additional $6 charge per order to send a purchase in a gift box.

Playthings Toy Shoppe

Louisville's only local and family-owned toy store is known for its high-quality toys and cheery free gift wrap. There are two Playthings Toy Shoppes in Louisville and both offer the free service.

Online shops that offer holiday gift wrapping
When you shop online at national retail outlets, did you know many offer gift wrapping and a personalized gift card for a fee? This is a particularly appealing idea in 2021 when shipping rates are high. When an online retailer wraps and ships your gift, you skip the step of paying to have the gift shipped to you so you can wrap it and then ship it out again. Here are a few examples of the type of gift extras you can request when you shop online.
Amazon offers a gift wrap option for most items it fulfills from selected sellers. You’ll get a gift-wrapped box or bag, decorative ribbon, and a printed card with your gift message on the top of the package. Prices vary depending on the size and shape of the item but expect to pay between $3.99 and $5.99. If an item can’t be wrapped due to its size or shape, Amazon offers the option of a reusable cloth gift bag or you can select “Ship in Amazon Box” on the checkout page so the contents don’t spoil your or their holidays. And there’s no additional cost for this option.

Apple
The gift-wrapping service is available only for select online purchases. For $5, the Apple Gift Package comes with Apple’s signature gift box, a red ribbon and a greeting card with your personal message. Just select, “This is a gift,” at checkout, then you can add the gift wrap option.
Barnes & Noble
Barnes & Noble offers gift wrapping for just about any online item for $4.99 per item. At checkout, choose the “Make it a gift?” option for each item you want gift wrapped and then select “Gift Wrap this item for $4.99.
Bed Bath & Beyond
Orders can be gift wrapped for $5.99 per order. however, oversized merchandise cannot be gift wrapped.
Best Buy
You can order a Best Buy-branded gift box online for $4.99, and if you send someone a gift, they will email a free personalized message once the gift is delivered.
Nordstrom
For shipped orders, you can add a gift box for $3 at checkout.
Tiffany & Co.
A little blue box from Tiffany’s is truly special. All online purchases come in the signature Tiffany Blue Box tied with a white satin ribbon. You can write a personal message at checkout, otherwise, it arrives with a blank card.

Walmart
Walmart offers a holiday gift wrapping option for items marked as “gift eligible.” The gift is placed in a Walmart box with a customizable gift message and a digital gift receipt was sent to the recipient’s email.
