One-day steak and cheese special at Poutine Peddlers

On Saturday, April 8, you have a shot at trying out a special treat. The Poutine Peddlers, 239 Broadway, Taunton, will be offering a steak and cheese poutine special, for just one day. There will be a limited quantity, so they suggest that guests get there early. They open at 11 a.m. on Saturdays. If they run out of steak and cheese, don’t worry, you can try the other April special: General Tso’s chicken poutine.

Piano virtuoso at Liberty & Union Ale House

Stop by the Liberty & Union Ale House, 16 Trescott St., Taunton, for a night of live music. Chris Gallivan will bring his piano stylings to the Ale House on Thursday, April 20, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. For more information, and updates, check the event’s Facebook page.

Dough Licious announces pizza of the month

There’s a new flavor in town at Dough Licious Pizza, 539 Berkley St., Berkley. April’s new pizza flavor is “Spicy Clucker”: with pizza sauce, maple syrup and a three-cheese blend, it’s topped with Buffalo chicken tossed in maple syrup, banana peppers, and a drizzle of barbecue sauce, along with a sprinkle of taco seasoning.

Support Raynwater Players at Frankie & Dia’s

Enjoy a sweet treat and support some drama. Theatrical drama, that is. Frankie & Dia’s Ice Cream and Hot Cocoa, 407 New State Highway, Raynham, is holding a promotional event on Friday, April 14, from 4 to 9 p.m., to support Bridgewater-Raynham’s Raynwater Players. Twenty percent of sales will be donated to the musical theater group, which has been performing at the school for more than 30 years.

Old favorites are back at Charred Oak Tavern

Fans asked, and The Charred Oak Tavern, 57 Center St., Middleboro, delivered. They’ve brought back some fan favorites, including bourbon glazed salmon, vegan Pad Thai, loaded chicken, chicken marsala, and short rib mac and cheese.
