Don't put the shovel away yet. What to know about the next round of snow

Don't ditch that snow shovel just yet because more snow is right around the corner.

A storm Monday into Tuesday gave South Jersey its first measurable snow — even if it was just a few inches — and now another storm is showing promise for more snow.

While it is still early, the National Weather Service is forecasting the potential for snow Friday morning and into the evening.

Burlington and Camden counties have the highest chances of snow

As of right now, Burlington and Camden counties have a good chance of seeing snow throughout all of Friday.

There is a 40% chance of snow starting around 1 a.m. Friday, and increasing to 60 percent as the day progresses. By Friday night, we should see snow start to clear out and taper off around 1 a.m. Saturday. Temperatures in the area will be a high of 32 and low 17.

Cumberland and Gloucester counties could see less snow than others

While there is a good chance for snow in Cumberland and Gloucester counties, it’s slightly less than in other parts.

Right now, the National Weather Service is predicting a 30% chance of snow in the early morning and late-night hours. However, snow is more likely during the day Friday with a 60% chance. Temperatures will have a high of 36 and low of 16.

The Shore to see more rain mixed in with snow

Shore residents should be prepared to see more rain as the storm rolls into the area on Friday.

As of right now, the National Weather Service is predicting a 30% chance of snow in the early morning. As the sun rises, snow is likely until the afternoon. However, after 1 p.m., a mix of snow and rain is likely. Snow is still possible throughout the night into the early morning hours of Saturday with a 30% chance.

Expect temperatures to be a high of 38 and low of 17.
