The weekend is upon us, do you know what you're eating?

Fall River Eats brings you a weekly roundup of new menu items, food events, and specials popping up all over the area. Here’s a quick look at what’s being served up across the SouthCoast this week:

Donut Factory opening express site

Those Greater Fall River doughnut lovers craving some gourmet sugary goodness a bit closer to home, may not have to wait much longer. The Donut Factory will be expanding with an express location in Dartmouth, at 246 State Road, this fall. According to owner Jackie Webb, the Dartmouth site is slated to open hopefully in October, though they are still in the permitting process. The Donut Factory, known for its crazy milkshakes, out-of-the-box doughnut creations (Chick-fil-A crispy chicken inspired sandwich on a glazed donut, anyone?), and savory staples like linguica rolls, steam pockets and loaded tater tots, is headquartered at 7 Howland Road, Fairhaven. Plans for a Westport location in a Route 6 plaza at the site of the former Tabletop Games were announced in February, and it was expected to open in the spring. But those plans hit a snag, and there is currently no timeline for when the Westport project will move forward. But get a sneak peek of what to expect at Donut Factory's new Dartmouth home, a scaled down version of their main Fairhaven shop, by visiting their Facebook page.

Mobile bar hits ground running on SouthCoast

There's a new local business mixing things up across the SouthCoast and beyond. The Wandering Pour, a full-service mobile beverage caterer, started serving up cocktails in style this spring, and celebrated a successful six months this week with an official ribbon cutting held at One SouthCoast Chamber's Fall River office. Based in Fairhaven, owner Kristen Gomes takes her craft on the road to various special events across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. "Our mission is to bring peace of mind for every host, event planner and venue by creating a beautiful and easy event bar experience," her website reads. Customers can choose between two options - the Ruby, their satellite bar that serves up to 125 guests, and the "Patsy," a horse trailer-turned-bar with an 8-foot service window and swinging back door for a photo backdrop that can host events up to 225 people. Learn more about them at https://www.thewanderingpour.com or visit their Facebook page.
