“Crash Landing on You” director Lee Jung-hyo will be helming Netflix’s upcoming original K-drama “Doona!” starring Bae Suzy and Yang Se-jong.

The streaming giant confirmed the casting of Bae and Yang on Monday. The pair were spotted filming in South Korea in July by local media outlet Joy News.

Bae is known for her roles in popular K-dramas such as “While You Were Sleeping,” “Anna” and Netflix’s “Start-Up.” Yang’s notable credits include “Still 17” and “My Country: The New Age.”

In addition to Netflix’s “Crash Landing on You,” Lee previously directed hits like “Romance is a Bonus Book” and “The Good Wife.”

Doona!” is based on the webtoon “The Girl Downstairs” by Min Song-a. The story centers on Lee Doo-na (Bae), a retired K-pop idol from a girl group called Sweet Dream. She abruptly announces her exit from the industry and moves into a university share-house where she meets Won Joon (Yang), an ordinary university student residing there. His kindness helps Doo-na through her struggles, and the two develop a romance.

In her role, Bae won’t stray far from her own roots as a former K-pop idol of girl group Miss A.

Lee Yu-bi, known for her roles in the K-dramas “Pinocchio” and “Yumi’s Cells,” is reportedly in talks to play a supporting character.
