Doors Open Monday At Anne Arundel County Public Libraries

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — The Anne Arundel County Public Library system will reopen Monday with limited services and hours in the ongoing efforts to reduce the risks of spreading the coronavirus while still assisting customers.

Libraries will open at 10 a.m. and remain open until 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Curbside pickup will be available Monday through Thursday 3 to 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday and Saturday.

Masks are required to enter the buildings and library officials are limiting the number of people in the buildings in accordance with government guidelines.

Anne Arundel County public libraries are located at:

  • Broadneck: 1275 Green Holly Drive

  • Brooklyn Park: 1 East 11th Avenue

  • Busch Annapolis: 1410 West Street (opening July 22)

  • Crofton: 1681 Riedel Road

  • Deale: 5940 Deale-Churchton Road

  • Discoveries: The Library at the Mall: Westfield Annapolis Mall (across from Crate and Barrel)

  • Eastport-Annapolis Neck: 269 Hillsmere Drive

  • Edgewater: 25 Stepneys Lane

  • Glen Burnie: 1010 Eastway

  • Linthicum: 400 Shipley Road

  • Maryland City at Russett: 3501 Russett Common

  • Mountain Road: 4730 Mountain Road

  • Odenton: 1325 Annapolis Road

  • Riviera Beach: 8485A Fort Smallwood Road

  • Severn: 2624 Annapolis Road

  • Severna Park: 45 West McKinsey Road

The following is a list of services and materials that are and are not available:

Books and other materials

  • Returns are only accepted via the book drops.

  • Newspapers will not be available.

  • Magazines are available for checkout only.

  • No seven day express book checkouts.

  • Please avoid cash payments of fines. Use a credit card if possible.

  • Please use self-checkout or the AACPL checkout application.

  • Returned items are quarantined for 72 hours before being processed. You will not be charged an overdue fine while items are in quarantine.

Computers and technology

  • Public computers use is limited to allow for social distancing.

  • Computer assistance will be limited and appointments may be required.

  • Faxing, scanning, copying, and wireless printing are not available.

  • 3D printing is not available.

  • Odenton Library Memory Lab is closed.

Building restrictions

  • Everyone in the building must wear a mask. Free masks are available for the public while supplies last.

  • Meeting room bookings will not be available until further notice.

  • There will be no in-person programs until further notice.

  • Water fountains will be unavailable at all library locations.

  • All library locations are limiting the number of people in the building at one time based on guidance from public health officials.

  • Seating will be limited in libraries.

  • Study room use will be limited.

  • There are no toys in children's areas.
