Borussia Dortmund will be without first choice goalkeeper Gregor Kobel in Sunday's Bundesliga match against Hoffenheim due to an ongoing muscle problem, coach Edin Terzic has said.

Kobel complained about pain while warming up for Tuesday's Champions League match at PSV Eindhove, with Alexander Meyer taking his place on short notice.

Meyer is also to deputise against Hoffenheim, and Terzic did not want to make a prediction how long Kobel will be missing, saying: "We have to wait and see how it develops over the coming weeks."

Forward Karim Adeyemi could return into the squad from injury for the game where Dortmund seek victory after 1-1 draws in Wolfsburg and Eindhoven with below par performances.

"There were things we didn't like," Terzic said, adding that this been addressed in training.

Dortmund are unbeaten in eight games while Hoffenheim have not won in eight. Terzic wants full points to keep fourth place, with RB Leipzig just one point back.

"We know we have to garner three points. That is the clear order," said Terzic, whose team beat Hoffenheim in the reverse league fixture and the German Cup earlier in the season.
