Dota 2 7.32: These three new Aghanim's Scepter upgrades are absolutely broken

The latest Dota 2 7.32 gameplay update has made huge changes to the game, including a new creep type, a new season of Neutral Items, a ton of hero changes, and the introduction of Primal Beast into Captain's mode.

Among the many changes in the new patch are 12 new Aghanim's Scepter upgrades. While most of these new upgrades look good, three in particular seem to be absolutely broken.

In this article, we will be looking at the Aghanim's Scepter upgrades for Beastmaster, Doom, and Centaur Warrunner, what makes them so strong and how they will impact the pro scene:

Beastmaster

Drums of Slom (New Ability): Beastmaster beats his drums with ever-increasing speed. Each strike deals damage to enemies around him, healing Beastmaster and units under his control for a portion of damage dealt. Beastmaster cannot strike his drums if he is silenced or stunned.

The new Drums of Slom gives Beastmaster some much-needed teamfight presence in Dota 2.

After a certain point in the game, Beastmaster's only impact in a match is reduced to using his Primal Roar to control enemy cores when they are magic immune.

Those days are (hopefully) behind us. The new ability has Beastmaster beat his drums a total of 15 times, dealing 1650 magic damage in a 600 radius around the hero. The ability has a short 50 second cooldown and heals the hero for a percentage of the damage dealt.

It's a massive amount of massive damage and it's likely that Beastmaster can rush this item after Helm of the Overlord to win games solo.

The new ability works best when combined with a Black King Bar, as it does nothing if Beastmaster is stunned or silenced.

Doom

Reworked Scepter: Enemies in a 375.0 radius around the Doomed target also suffer the effects of Doom. Allows Doom to be self-cast to affect enemies around the caster

Step aside Disruptor, you're not the only one that has an area-of-effect Doom courtesy of the new Aghanim's Scepter upgrade for Doom himself.

Thanks to the 7.32 update, Doom now affects an area around the victim, forcing allies to keep their distance from the Doomed target.

Even more useful than the area-of-effect Doom is that Doom can self-cast the ability on himself and walk into enemies, applying the damage, silence, and mute effect on nearby enemies.

It's important to know that the effects of Doom on heroes are removed if they can stay outside the Doom radius, which makes Force Staff incredibly valuable.

Despite being somewhat countered by Force Staff, this is still one of the strongest Aghanim's Scepter upgrades in the game.

Doom can be played in virtually any role and the hero can always secure his farm, an important aspect for the hero since the latest patch nerfed the passive gold bounty.

With the strengths of this item and how easy it is to use, Doom is entering the 7.32 update as one of the biggest winners so far.

Centaur Warrunner

Hitch a Ride (New Ability): Centaur tosses an ally into a cart hitched behind him. While in the cart, the ally can still cast and attack normally, but cannot move independently or be targeted by opponents. Non-targeted effects can still affect the hitched ally. Increases the attack range of hitched melee heroes by 200.

The new ability for Centaur Warrunner basically allows him to use Flaming Lasso on an ally without disabling them.

Allies are also cannot be targeted by spells or right-click attacks while hitched, and melee allies have increased attack range. Area-of-effect spells such as Ravage and Black Hole still impact hitched allies.

How useful the new Scepter upgrade is will depend entirely on whether or not Centaur Warrunner is a viable pick.

He was one of the 17 heroes who received no picks or bans at the PGL Arlington Major.

The hero received a nerf to his armor and the damage from Retaliate but gained more health regeneration and a better slow on Stampede.

As for the ability itself, Hitch a Ride has perhaps the strongest Dota 2 mechanic in the game: forced movement.

Being able to save a teammate in danger or position a less mobile ally into a better position is incredibly powerful, and pubs are already taking note of that.

Whether or not Centaur's new ability deserves a nerf is something we will find out in a few days but there is one thing that nobody doubts and that is that Hitch a Ride is easily the most enjoyable new ability in Dota 2.

Thanks to his new Scepter Upgrade, Centaur Warrunner is one of the biggest patch winners due to the sheer fun factor he brings to the game.
