One of the world’s greatest long-distance swimmers, Ukraine’s two-time Olympic medalist Mykhailo Romanchuk, shared his outrage on social media over the destruction of the Ukrainian national swimming pool in Dnipro on Aug. 15.

“This is the pool where I trained for the Olympics in Tokyo,” he said, neglecting to mention that he came home from that Olympic Games with a silver in the 1500m and bronze in the 800m.

“And how it looks after another night missile and drones attack,” he said, sharing images of the destroyed swimming center.

“Sport is not politics?”, he asked.
