This Double-Patty Cheeseburger Is Topped With Mozzarella Sticks

From Delish

While you're most likely still reeling from that warm Nutella-topped donut tower, the Elm Street Diner moved on to a bigger, badder, and more insane creation. Specifically, they moved on to loading up their cheeseburgers with, well, cheese, and, uh, mozzarella sticks.

Yes, my friends, they were not satisfied with what one might traditionally call a cheeseburger (see: buns, patty, cheese). They did not care what you thought! In fact, they thought "what absurd combination of things do people not even know they want yet?" and landed here: at the aforementioned mozzarella-stick-topped cheeseburger.

To make it all come together, chefs butter up some buns and griddle them. While that happens, two beef patties are (1) cooking and (2) being covered in mozzarella. Those are then broiled for extra melty-ness and stacked on top of each other. Finally, perfectly fried mozz sticks are layered onto the top patty and homemade vodka sauce is poured on top of all of them.

Yeah. That's a cheeseburger.

If, for whatever reason, you're not really a burger kinda human, rest assured the diner makes other, non-burger-centric monstrosities that will do it for you in some other way. Take their short rib- and mac & cheese-topped French fries, for example. Does that not intrigue you?

Like I said—you'll be just fine. You can find all of the above at Stamford's Elm Street Diner.
