How doubling down on sports will grow Seminole County’s economy

Seminole County already has a lot to make it an attractive place to live, work and play. It’s home to top-rated schools and a highly skilled workforce, in addition to being known as one of Central Florida’s wealthiest areas. That helps attract big-name companies and construction.

While more plans are in the works in a variety of growth sectors — ranging from retail to medical to apartments — the county is leaning into one area that could boost tourism, local recreation and the economy overall: sports.
