Doug Pederson confirms Nate Herbig will continue to be the Eagles starting RG

The reviews on Nate Herbig’s debut as the starting right guard for the Philadelphia Eagles have been mixed at best with some experts and analysts split on viability as a starter in the NFL.

Eagles head coach Nate Pederson confirmed on Friday morning that Herbig will continue as the starter at right guard against the Rams on Sunday.

Herbig is still only 22 years old and prior to starting at right guard next to rookie right tackle Jack Driscoll, the undrafted rookie had only logged three snaps prior to getting the opportunity.

Herbig has an avid supporter in Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland and with Lane Johnson returning at right tackle, the outcome should be more in line with what the Birds are used to.
