Dover Dog Howloween, Harvestfest and Foley Run: 18 things to do this weekend

'The Crucible' opens at Seacoast Rep

The Seacoast Repertory Theatre will present Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" from Thursday, Oct. 13 through Nov. 5. Winner of the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play, this thrilling, partially fictionalized drama about the Puritan purge of witchcraft in old Salem is both a gripping historical play and a timely parable of our contemporary society. It's a searing portrait of a community engulfed by hysteria. "The Crucible" is being presented in repertoire with "Sweeney Todd," so you still have time to see that production which just received a great view from Broadway World.
