DOVER — The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Dover will host its annual Greek Heritage Festival this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 2 and 3.

All are welcome to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Greece at this 2022 event in southern New Hampshire. Tireless volunteers have been hard at work preparing authentic Greek food and pastries.

Authentic Greek dishes offered will include roasted lamb dinner, souvlaki pork dinner, pastichio with greek salad, spanakopita, gyro and mezethaki plate, among many other choices and sides.

Desserts to enjoy with a Greek coffee or frappe are 100% fresh and include baklava, loukoumades (fried dough in sweet syrup, spices and nuts), and koulourakia, kourambiethes, finikia cookies as well as halva tou fourno (Greek honey cake).

A tray of baklava seen Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022 is among the estimated 4,500 pieces of pastry ready for the Dover Greek Festival, to be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 2-3 at the Hellenic Center.
