Dover police previously said three businesses on the north end of Central Avenue — two salons and one restaurant — were burglarized between the overnight hours of Sunday, Dec. 3 into Monday, Dec. 4. A man seen on surveillance cameras allegedly stole an unspecified amount of money and supplies.

Hendrix was later identified as the alleged suspect, and Bishop was accused of transporting him to Dover and the businesses. City police credited several Maine police agencies for helping identify Hendrix and Bishop.

Arrest warrants were obtained by city police Dec. 8. That day, Hendrix was charged with his multiple burglary counts at the York County Jail, where he was being held on an unrelated offense.

Assisting Dover police were authorities from Biddeford, Kennebunk and Sanford, Maine, in addition to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

It was not immediately known if Bishop has a lawyer.
