Downed Tree Blocks Road in Nova Scotia City Amid Damaging Floods

Residents evaluated damage across parts of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia on Wednesday, November 24, after heavy wind and rain flooded multiple counties, according to province officials.

The storm forced closure of more than 25 roads in eastern Nova Scotia and Cape Breton, with washouts on the Cabot Trail and roads in northern Nova Scotia, local officials said.

“This week’s storm has hit our province, our people, and our transportation infrastructure hard, particularly in Inverness, Victoria, and Antigonish counties,” acting Public Works Minister Allan MacMaster said in a press release.
