Downtown Bellingham vegan bakery and cafe listed for sale

The Wild Oat Bakery & Cafe, a vegan restaurant on Cornwall Avenue in downtown Bellingham, has been listed for sale online by its owner.

“I am turning 69 this summer and am starting to have a few health issues, and cannot keep giving the restaurant my all, so have listed it for sale,” Crystal Davis, owner of the restaurant wrote in an email to The Bellingham Herald.

The restaurant is listed online for $200,000 by The Muljat Group and has been listed for 45 days as of Wednesday, April 19. The Wild Oat Bakery & Cafe has been in its 1,002-square-foot location for about 5 years.

The listing includes taking over the lease of the building and everything inside the restaurant except a few personal items such as recipes, decor and some equipment, Davis wrote.

“We have had a lot of support, and many super nice regulars. I have enjoyed providing quality goods to the community and have a lot of positive feedback, and have been equally fortunate to have a wonderful staff,” Davis wrote.

The restaurant will remain open until it is sold, Davis wrote.

The Wild Oat Bakery & Cafe is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday and is at 1305 Cornwall Ave.
