Downtown GJ hosts first annual holiday window decorating contest

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — If you’ve been to downtown Grand Junction lately, you may have noticed it’s looking a lot like Christmas. Voting for Downtown Grand Junction’s first annual holiday window decorating contest wrapped up Sunday, and winners were announced the next day.

The Downtown Development Authority’s holiday contest featured two categories – Business Favorite, voted on by local businesses, and People’s Choice.

Zephyr took first place under the Business Favorite category, followed by The Hog and the Hen in second and Garvey’s Gardens and Pandora’s Piercing tied for third in the same category.

For People’s Choice after a grand tally of 545 votes, The Hog and The Hen won first place – followed by Zephyr and Triple Play Records.
