Downtown Holland announces third annual holiday coloring contest

HOLLAND — If you're looking for a fun activity this holiday season, minus the glitter or glue, the third annual Downtown Holland Holiday Coloring Contest has been released.

The contest is sponsored by Peachwave Frozen Yogurt on Eighth Street. As part of the contest, children 1-12 are invited to color a custom drawing from local artist Carolyn Stich for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Peachwave.

This year's coloring contest page features Santa Claus with his own self-serve.

“At Peachwave, we love, love, love seeing families and friends’ imaginations come to life as they create their own unique treat masterpieces in our self-serve format,” said Peachwave CEO Boyd Feltman. “We are proud to sponsor the coloring contest because it's just another way to encourage our community to unleash their imagination. We are excited to adorn our store with their coloring masterpieces."

The first coloring contest launched in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. With many downtown, family-focused events canceled that year, organizers sought a safe activity for children that would bring the community together. It was such a success, it's been brought back twice.
